What happens if I change the currency in ONTRAPORT but not in my gateway?

My gateway doesn't allow me to change the currency charged. What happens if the currency changes in ONTRAPORT but I don't have a way to change it in my gateway?

Because each gateway can handle this differently, we do not recommend changing your currency without confirming with your gateway and bank exactly what will happen.  Your transactions may fail completely, or you may incur additional currency conversion charges if your gateway accepts the other currency and then your bank converts it. It could also be confusing and misleading to your customers. Please make sure you charge in the currency your gateway charges in and include that currency symbol on your Order Forms.
