Looking for ideas for a rule or sequence dilemmia

I have a photo booth and we have two function rooms. I'm trying to create an up sell email to book the photo booth for events. I have a field "confirmed booked event"(date field) and a photo booth booked" (date field) on contact records. Any ideas to run a sequence that could possible check all "confirmed booked event" against photo booth booked dates to check availability? it seems easy but the issue seems to be comparing the two dates? as we only have one photo booth.

This sounds similar to the concept of booking a conference room in some systems. We don't have that functionality built in,

We have an advanced database feature called Custom Objects that could hold all the booked hours or half hours for your photo booth, and that would centralize the dates and time to one spot in your account. I don't think you could easily display the open times for someone to select, however.
