To whom it may concern:
While I love many features of Ontraport, I must say I am frustrated by a few things and for $297 per month I'm not sure I can stay with Ontraport.
Major problem:
I cannot invoice a customer from within Ontraport and have them be able to pay the invoice online. So, I have to use Square and QB online. So now I have 3 problems, 1) is that I have to go into Square, QB and Ontraport to get my financial data and then I have to piece them together-major inconvenience, 2) I have to leave Ontraport, go to another website to make an invoice = time consuming, 3) Now that I have to go outside of Ontraport to get paid, I have to double enter my client data and now again I have to look at 2-3 websites to see their entire purchase history, etc. and so on.
Can you tell me if this is something you are developing? And if so, how long will it take.

We are working on the feature to have true invoices. I did want to mention one improvement that is related.
Today we added the ability to send an invoice on each payment of a Subscription or Payment Plan. For existing contacts you can enable recurring invoices to be sent by editing the Subscription or Payment Plan on the Purchases tab of the Contact Record.

Order Forms now contain a checkbox to automatically generate the recurring invoices for all future orders. You can edit your existing Order Forms in ONTRAPORT and the change will propagate wherever the form is published (so you don't have to re-embed the form code).

the comment below showing how to auto send invoices has NOTHING to do with the original question. Ontraport seems to use the word INVOICE interchangeably with RECEIPT.... I think an invoice is actually a BILL with all of the details of the purchase.
The "invoices" that OP sends AFTER a payment has been made is actually a receipt or a record of a purchase. It is NOT a BILL that needs to be paid, nor does it provide a way for the recipient to click and pay using their payment info.....
If you are thinking this one is solved, Ontraport - it is not. I am having an issue with this myself and wish I had the option to send my clients a bill......
