How does IT Mooti's WooCommerce integration work?

Kevin Eales Monroe

I'm curious how the the WooCommerce integration works. What information does it pass to ONTRAPORT? Can it track referral information?

One of our Certified Consultants, Neil Kristianson, put together a video going through exactly how it works and posted it in our User Community. The short version is that per order, WooCommerce tells ONTRAPORT the following: Order number, First/Last Name, Email, Billing address, and Tax. Per line item, ONTRAPORT gets the SKU, item name, item price, and item quantity. It is not possible to track partner/referrer information through the plugin so if you are using WooCommerce and would like to have a partner program, you'll need to find a different plugin to handle that.

You can see the entire video walkthrough here:

Which plugin is this? There are several...

I spoke with Cameron at Ontrapalooza, and he said the Ontrawoo plugin was the best plugin available currently for Woocommerce. I purchased it, but haven't been able to get it to work. I keep getting an API message saying there is an error connecting with Ontraport. I checked the keys to make sure there were no spaces or special characters. Still not working. Not sure what the problem is...

I am also trying to get my woocommerce to sync with Ontraport (I want to be able I am tracking sales accurately). Right now purchases made on the website integrate, however manually entered orders do not. Will any of these plug-ins work to sync my manual orders that are entered?

Hey Victor,

Which plugin are you using currently to add order records to Ontraport?

Thanks!

Hello Gabe,

It doesn't appear that a plug-in is being used. Right now the customer just goes through the "Ontrapage" and that tracks the order and enters the sales numbers. When we enter the orders on the back end we enter straight into WooCommerce and because it bypasses the Ontrapage doesn't get recorded. Is there a way we could copy all orders from WooCommerce into Ontraport?

Hey Victor,

I purchased the Woocommerce Zapier Extension and have been working on setting it up.  The software is $59.00 and supposedly you can do it with a Free Zapier account.  Well see...

From looking over the configuration, it looks very promising.  It works with the Woocommere Custom Checkout Field extension which is great so you can pass custom fields on to Ontraport.

Check out the WooCommerce Zapier extension here: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-zapier/?_ga=2.73795922.1128352697.1507740156-2115409086.1507740156

The software is supported by Woothemes which means there will be support for it in the future.  Here is some documentation for it as well here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-zapier/

Hope this helps you.  I'll check back in once I get my setup up and running and report back on how everything is working...

Best,
Gabe
