Dashboard Upgrades

Tracey Lipnicki

I do agree with the other post that this is not an analytics dashboard so a new rewrite would be fabulous.

In the interim I do find is useful for a quick snapshot of current performance.  It is however EXTREMELY slow and time consuming to use.

Some quick wins to add functionality available in other parts of the system that would really improve it are as follows:

1. Ability to copy a tile and update the metrics from there would be amazing.  Especially where long lists of criteria are involved and you want to see today, yesterday, this week, last week, this month, last month, etc versions of the same metric.  Having to set up each one individually is (excuse my language) a pain the the A**e.

2. the and/or criteria don't work as expected, ie: the ands only pair not group a whole set of ands together.  I would assume that is a have an or statement and then 2 and statements that the or applies to all the criteria separated by ands, however this is not the case, they only pair, so i have to enter multiple sets of the same criteria to make it work.  Addition of the option to add parenthesis would solve this problem.

3. You cant easily move tiles around the dashboard.  You have to first move everything over one tile at a time to make a space before you can move a tile into it.  It would be better to be able to move a tile to where you want and everything else moves over to the right to accommodate.  It should work the same as the app icons on your smart phone.

While we haven't implemented all of your feature requests mentioned, we’ve been making improvements on the dashboard feature, and the newest upgrade means your stats will load faster and more frequently. Now you don’t need to wait 24 hours for your information to be updated; your stats will stay up-to-date around the clock.

Whenever you create a new metric or switch to another timeframe, your stats will start calculating and, in most cases, it will just take five minutes. Here’s how long your stats will take to recalculate:

  • Metrics without conditions — 5 minutes
  • Metrics with conditions — 30 minutes
  • Metrics for the average time between two events or conversion rates — 1 hour

Plus, we’ve added the ability to create metrics for Deals, Companies and any other custom objects in your account.

We have started the process of rolling out these upgrades, and have reached the half-way mark! You can expect to see them in your account over the next few weeks.
