Lose your work, lose your mind!

Even after saving my work several times I somehow deleted a text section on a page when I was thinking I was deleting a word in the editor...gone! It's 2023, it can't be that easy to lose your work! There is no recycle bin and undo keystrokes don't work. I was unable to get it back by canceling and refreshing. The version's history is not helpful and does not show a current history of saved work and it should be on autosave. This has happened twice now in pages and once with a contact. So frustrating. I have most of the copy in a google doc that i can recover but once you drop it into the page and start formatting you always make tweaks. I'm nervous about trying again. I really don't want this to happen again. It should not be that easy to lose your work! I notice that other blocks and things I try to delete require confirmation. Even though it is annoying it serves an important purpose. The option offered to me was to pay $50 to roll back my account to recover the loss. that seems totally unfair for something like this. I've been extremely happy with ontraport so far, but this is a basic function that seems to be intuitively available everywhere else. PLEASE figure this out.
