It's too easy to delete your original page/message after creating a copy

I made a copy of a live ontrapage. Made changes to the copy, but didn't like it and decided to scrap it. I deleted the page, not realizing the original page was still checked from making the copy, so both pages were deleted. Please change the way this functions. It's too easy to delete pages.
