Native Fall Back

In other platforms that I've used, I've found it really handy to be able to have a fallback field in merge fields. For example in my situation we sell puppies that we give temporary codenames. When it's time for them to go home we normally have their name inserted in the emails. However not everyone has a name picked out by then and being able to fall back to the codename would be nice.

On these other platforms you'd normally put the primary field that you want then give it a fallback field that it would default to if the primary field is empty. For example like this [Puppy Name | Puppy Codename].

There's other situations that this would be useful in I'm sure. But I've also seen it done where you can do the field and then default to just some generic text. For instance [Puppy Name | "your puppy" ]. That way if the name isn't filled out it will just put in whatever is in between the parentheses.
