filtering for the timeline in Sales Reports

I noticed we're able to filter the timeline for Product Sales Reports, and I'd like this ability to also be available on the Sales (all time sales report by product).

This functionality would allow me to easily filter what product has sold the most units AND which product has made the most money year-to-date. 

Alternatively, I have to export the Product Sales Report and either manually process it, or import it to Excel/Sheets to crunch the numbers.
