I just imported my lists. It says 'pending review'. Why can't I email them?

I'm so excited to get started with ONTRAPORT. I just imported all my lists and wanted to send my first email to my list. The bulk email status field says "pending review". What's that mean and why can't I send my emails?

All imports are subject to approval by our Email Delivery team to ensure compliance with our anti-spam policies. Sometimes the import will be pulled randomly for a manual review. If the import is selected for manual review, you can expect:

  1. An email, sent to the admistrator of your account, with additional questions that need to be answered. You must reply to this email.
  2. A delay of up to 24 - 48 hours after you respond to that email.
  3. A confirmation email when the contacts are ready for you to email.

Please contact Support by email if the Contacts have been in review for 24 hours or more.
