How do I personalize my emails with contact names or other data?

You use our Merge Fields feature.

In ONTRAmail, click where you'd like to enter your contact's information. Click the Merge Fields button. Finally, select first name from the dropdown menu. You'll see it appear in your text box.

You can do this for any field that you have in your ONTRAPORT database and personalize your emails to your heart's content!

You may also want to check out our default merge fields to take care of those contacts that don't have a first name so they don't feel left out.
