Re-running Commissions in a Last Referrer System

I'd like to re-run a commission on an open order. I have my Partner program set to pay the Last Referrer, but that field may have changed, right? What happens?

When Last Referrer is selected for the Partner programs and you re-run a commission on an open order, you must select the referrer you wish to give the commission to. If you don’t, the system will re-run the commission with whichever Last Referrer is currently listed which may differ from the original transaction since Last Referrer can change.
