Does a coupon discount every payment on recurring subscriptions?

I don't want to have every monthly payment discounted, only the first payment. Is that how a coupon code would work on a subscription or payment plan product?

Edited July 12, 2018 - You can now configure coupon codes to discount only the first payment or all of the Subscription or Payment Plan payments!
