Booking Events Appointment Details to Contact Record

It would be great if a contact's record could have fields updated within their record when they book an appointment through Ontraport Calendar, with the corresponding appointment date and time. That way automation could be set to read those fields and follow up according to that. Right now we use custom fields that Zapier updates when prospects schedule through Acuity.

This is not the best plan.

Because contacts can have many appointments, you'll run into all sorts of problems if using contact fields for appointment date/times.

The current solution is to use the notification features in event templates, which makes it easy to send all your follow up based on the event time.

In the future, we'll be making 'events' a full-on object, with automations and everything. But for your use-case, that won't be necessary. Just use notifications!

Understood. I brought up automation for this because it was recommended to me over using the notification feature in the event template on our screen share today re: calendar feature.

Ideally, we would have different fields corresponding to their respective event types. That's what we have now using custom fields and Zapier with different call types in Acuity.

Our use case is not that folks usually have recurring appointments of the same type, but rather an ascension of call types (i.e. sales, welcome, 1x1, final, etc).

Additionally, we love being able to quickly see the date and time in the contact's record and set contact views from it (i.e. sales calls set last week)

We look forward to the capabilities within this feature being a custom object and the relationship options that provides.
