Preventing Duplicate Records with Same Email

Please modify so that if a user attempts to manually create a new contact with an email address that already exists, an error message is displayed, preventing the creation of a duplicate record.

Hi! Most users don't actually want this for various reasons, BUT you can have it if you want! Contact support and make the request and we'll set email to be a 'unique' field in the database. BUT, we can only make it so if it's actually true... so make sure to do all your de-duplication before you make the request, or we'll be stuck.

May I also suggest a way to find and merge all duplicates at once, rather than the tedious way it is right now which is one at a time.
