dropdowns should automatically be a color field.

This past week I found out the difference between using a regular drop down field and a color field as I explore ways to sort information into card view. It would be nice if this wasn't separated because it really limits the amount of information you can use to sort, and it doesn't lend itself to being adaptable to new projects, circumstances and conditions. You have to really have a premeditated plan beforehand, otherwise it really becomes a messy situation later on when you have to recofigure your global fields.

It would be nice if color fields and dropdowns were combined as one, dropdown color field. I don't see anything on the user side where this could be a problem, but in the back, it helps to be able to track a large variety of data from new sources.
