Giving access to DNS records so an individual can easily set up GSuite

Darius Mendola
Today I found out that on Ontraport, an individual cannot access their own DNS records, on the domain host site or through a third party. This makes a great tool like GSuite inaccessible to Ontraport users. If there was a way to access the DNS records, or if there could be a way to give out CNAME information to use a third party like cloudflare, that would be very helpful. I have been trying to set up GSuite for about 4 hours, and was pointed to get in touch with them to solve the problem, but the problem came down to not being able to access the DNS records. That would have made this a 15-minute cycle. Instead, I now have to wait for the email team to process my request, and I had to investigate for 4 hours what the problem was. This is a stopping point for many users, since many businesses use the google services and want to set up their systems through them. I know a few thousand entrepreneurs that would not use Ontraport because of this factor. Thank you, and your service is great.

Thanks for the feature request, Ryan. We are looking at closer integration of GSuite, and adding the ability to populate at least MX records for domains you host with us on the domain screen. The current system is to have you forward the information to Support and have one of our developers create the zone file for you, and as you noted, that is cumbersome.
