This would be great!
ActiveCampaign has a great way of handling this visually. From the contact view, you see the list of Campaigns (Automations) a contact is in, click the one you want and select "View". It then shows the full path of that contact on the Automation, and where they currently are on the map.
Here's a link the their support article.

Ontraport could do much the same thing, and link the "Campaigns" listed on each Contact page to a view of the selected Campaign, and a map of where the contact currently is + where they've been.
This is already available. Just add &contact_id=[add contact ID here] to the end of the URL while you're looking at the automation and then click enter. The page will reload and show you where that contact has been and is now.
You'll find the contact id in the URL when looking at the contact's record.
