I am setting up an event management system using custom objects, because of the way my business model works I need to be able to drill down into related objects, so a Many to Many relationship does not work. But I want to be able to store a history of what events someone has attended which I would need Many to Many for.
Currently I am looking at creating both relationships (1-many and many-many), and using Zapier and the API to create the second relationship automatically, but this is cumbersome and seems like something your system should be able to do more simply.
Check out our Systems Setup Wizard for an example named "Webinar Promotion Funnel". It will install a custom object (a separate database) linked to your contacts that stores their opt-ins. You can use that example as a template for any kind of virtual events.
