Payment Plan/Subscription Date Options

I wish there was a ability on the backend to determine the dates when payments start and what date subsequent payments would process. For instance I might have some join today 10/17 but I want all payment ran on on the 1st of the month. In addition if someone joins today maybe payments for their specific plan do not need to start until The following month. I want to be able to say what month they start.
