Re-arranging Metrics

We came up with an order listing of metrics that we like to view on a regular basis. Whenever we add new metrics, they automatically go to the bottom of the list or grid. During special promotions we would like to have the ability to move the metrics related to the promotions to the top of the list. When we move them to the top it screws up the order that we meticulously created. It would be nice to be able to move new metrics from the bottom of the list to the top without having them swap positions with other metrics.
