PURLs on secure pages

Anouschka Dack

HI team,
We want to be able to show people's answers to a form - but to do that, we are required to use PURLs, which in Ontraport requires that the destination page is http, thereby showing as NOT SECURE in the browser.

This is quite obsolete in 2021, and will no doubt cause a number of drop outs from customers who quite rightly don't trust a page that is not secure.

Is there any way around this? Or do you have it on your road map?

It does sound a bit unprofessional to have such a system these days. What do you think?

Thanks for your help - so many features of Ontraport are just right! :-)

Hi Anouschka!

This week, we released "merge fields now work anywhere." Now, anyone who clicks an email or tracked link, fills out a form, or logs in to a membership site will be tracked with our new, more secure technology. After that, if we have data for your visitor, we will use it in your merge fields. If not, we’ll use your merge field defaults. You will no longer need to rely on PURLs for this sort of personalization.
