Include an unambiguous date format

In the account localization area, you have 3 choices

https://app.ontraport.com/#!/ontraport_admin/localization

Adding an option that includes a 3 digit month makes it clear.  eg 01-05-2022 could be the 1st of May or the 5th of Jan.

Adding a 3 digit month (short month) removes a lot of confusion.  eg 01-May-2022 makes it clear that is the 5th month.  A 4 digit year, prevents confusion from days.

In the Localization section the examples shown are US style "1/15/2022", EU and most of the rest of the world style "15/1/2022" and year first, "2022/1/15". It's easy to differentiate because there is no 15th month to worry about.

Whenever you publish a date merge field you have a choice of how to display it, including the short month display. The date formatter follows the setting you have in Localization. This image is from an account that has the US date style, "1/15/2022" set:
