Customizable sliding date range for metrics.

I am submitting this on behalf of a user. 

I have had several requests to implement a customizable sliding timeframe when creating metrics. Being able to set the metric time frame to a period of time that is not preselected would allow clients to better segment the data they are looking to analyze. 

Example: set timeframe to last [select number of days]
