Separate Receipt Templates for Initial Purchases and Recurring Payments

I would like to request the ability to use different receipt templates for the initial purchase and for recurring subscription payments.

Currently, the same receipt template is used for both the first transaction and all subsequent renewals. While this works, it would be much more flexible if we could assign:

  • An Initial Purchase Receipt – customized for the first transaction, including onboarding information, trial details, special offers, or next steps.
  • A Recurring Payment Receipt – a more evergreen receipt that confirms the subscription renewal and payment without including information that is only relevant to the initial purchase.

This would improve the customer experience by ensuring customers receive information that is relevant to the specific transaction they are making, while also reducing the need to keep the initial receipt generic enough to work for every future renewal.

Having separate receipt templates for first-time purchases and recurring payments would provide much greater flexibility for businesses that offer subscriptions and trial offers.
