Add SSO Integration for use with Ontraport Membership Sites

Matthew Rafano

Provide single-sign on capability for Ontraport Membership Sites so that Members can leverage the username and password they create for the Ontraport Membership Site for other applications. We currently use Circle.so as a community platform and it would be great if our members would only need to log in once to access both Circle.so and the Ontraport Membership Site.

Hi Matthew - the SSO feature is on our roadmap but development work has not yet started, so I can't give an ETA. It will allow social logins using Facebook, Google or Microsoft credentials. Configuration options will allow you to enable them (or not). It is high on the list of features to be added.

One thing that might help with your current membership sites: We recently added the ability to adjust the member's "automatic logout" setting so you can control how quickly they are logged out from the membership site due to inactivity. You can adjust this in Pages > Membership by opening the membership site configuration and adjusting the value. The default is 24 hours but you can choose to never log people out, or set shorter or longer times. Here's a screenshot of where to find that feature.

I saw that this has been updated to planned! That is great! Is there an expected timeframe for implementation for this feature? We want to migrate our membership site from Teachable to being completely in Ontraport, but will need this feature to make the transition. Thanks!

Thanks for the update Frank. What I'm really looking for is a way to leverage a member's Ontraport Membership site authentication credentials to log into our Circle.so community platform. Circle.so supports custom SSO integration using OAuth 2.0. Does this roadmap SSO feature include OAuth 2.0 capability within Ontraport so that Ontraport can act as an OAuth provider to Circle.so? Here is a link from Circle.so on how to set up custom Single Sign-On for their community: https://community.circle.so/c/circle-integrations/how-to-integrate-sso

First we'll do social sign on, then look at SSO down the road.

Thanks Landon! Appreciate the quick response. That's just what I was looking for! Hopefully "down the road" will come sooner rather than later! We definitely want to keep the number of logins our members have down to a minimum as much as possible!

Thank you again!
