Merge Contacts option within individual contact view

Kelsey Tonner
 I would love a Merge Duplicates type tool added to the individual contact view. I regularly need to quickly merge to contacts (usually because they have used 2 contact records - each with a different email. Would like to be able to select 'Merge contact with' and then search for another contact without having to search the whole database for duplicate entries.  Thanks!

Yes when we find a duplicate it would be nice to be able to merge them from the actions tab instead of going through the settings and then merge tool.

Yes, I would love this. I find the current duplicate detection process cumbersome. This would be amazing.

This would be a valuable feature to me. I also have to figure out which email the customer has bought a subscription or a product from and make certain I don't lose that in the merge. Currently, it's hard to know without clicking inside each contact's purchase history to find out which email to keep for instance. Having a merge available from the contacts tab would be fantastic.

This is something I've wanted for a few years now - would be SUPER handy and save lots of time!

Yes, please, we often have customers that use a different email for a purchase than their opt-in and the current merge tool is too cumbersome to quickly fix this. Plus our usually ends with an error.

We need to be able to merge in all objects - both in list view and individual view.  The way Ontraport pulls data from bulk imports is buggy - I am currently manually cleaning up an import of 5000 contacts and 1000 companies from my old CRM and the only way to deal with duplicates seems to be;

for companies, manually delete the duplicate or incorrectly-logged companies, then manually track down and reassign all contacts associated with it to the correct entity

for contacts, manually delete duplicates one at a time

Also, every time I delete an entry, to pulls me back to page 1 of the list, so I have to click all the way back again to get to where I was.  It's time-consuming for no reason.
