Custom Object Search Functionality
When searching in contacts, results appear that contain the search terms in any order. When searching in custom objects, the search terms have to exactly match the record in order to appear. Can you make the the custom object search the same as the contact search?

Yes, exactly. In contacts, it appears to be contains and in custom object searches it appears to be exact match. For instance, if I search for a contact named Smile Dental Studio in contacts by typing in Smile Studio, it will pull up the correct record. If I use the same search term in a custom object, there are no results.
