    ClickBank© Integration

    About this ClickBank© Integration

    Applies to: ONTRAPORT Plus and above.

    This integration enables you to do the following when a product is purchased in ClickBank©:

    • Add new contacts or update existing Contact information
    • Add new Products if they don't already exist
    • Add Product transactions to the Contact record
    • Trigger Rules based on the product purchase

    How to Set Up the ClickBank© Integration

    1. Log into ONTRAPORT
    2. Click the profile icon at the top right, then Administration > Integrations > ClickBank Configuration.



    3. Create a Secret Key. It must be no more than 16 characters long, in all caps. You can include both numbers and letters. Copy your Secret Key to a text file for use in ClickBank© later.

    4. Copy your Instant Notification URL to the text file for use in ClickBank©
    5. Log into your ClickBank© account and click on the Vendor Settings tab then click on My Site

    6. In the Advanced Tools section click Edit

    7. Enter the Secret Key and Instant Notification URL from ONTRAPORT. Select 6.0 for the version in the drop down box.

    8. Save your changes

    Creating a Product Link in ClickBank©

    The ClickBank© product link sends potential customers to your product’s order form page. This link is created in ClickBank© and can be used in an email, on a Landing Page, web page, or integrated WordPress page.

    How to Create a Product Link

    1. Create a product in ClickBank©
      1. Go to the Settings tab.
      2. Click on My Products > Add New Product.
      3. Complete the rest of the product information fields.
      4. Save changes.
    2. Create the Product Link using the product item number and account name. The format of the link is ITEM.ACCTNAME.pay.clickbank.net:
      1. Replace ITEM with the product's Item Name / # found in the My Products tab in your list of created products:

      2. Replace ACCTNAME with your account nickname. This is found in the My Account tab:

      ClickBank© will always communicate the original product name to ONTRAPORT even if you subsequently change the product name in ClickBank©. Rules created with the changed product name will not run. We recommend creating a new product rather than renaming one to avoid possible confusion later.
    3. Create a test purchase of the product in ClickBank© to sync the product to ONTRAPORT. Note that the product will not show up in ONTRAPORT until the first test or live purchase is completed.

    Create a Rule Based on a ClickBank© Purchase

    1. Go to Contacts > Rules and click the New Rule button.
    2. For the Trigger select Purchases Product and select the product.

    3. Select the Action you desire ... such as adding the Contact to a Sequence, etc.
    4. Save the Rule.

    Note: ClickBank© will always communicate the original product name to ONTRAPORT even if you subsequently change the product name in ClickBank©. Rules created with the changed product name will not run. We recommend creating a new product rather than renaming one to avoid possible confusion later.
