    About ONTRApages Blocks

    Applies to: All ONTRAPORT accounts.

ONTRApages are composed using Blocks, horizontal slices of the page you can rearrange or replace to perfect your design. This article covers how to add, delete, move and copy blocks.

Each of the functions discussed below require that the palette shows the block categories and that you are not editing a block. If you do not see the functions listed below, it means you are editing a block. Click on the Done or Save buttons from the palette until it shows the block categories and the palette reads "Blocks on This Page".

    • Blocks can be renamed and reused in other ONTRApages by selecting them from the Add Block page. This allows you to configure a Block and reuse it in different ONTRApages.

Note: This is the only approved, safe method of copying content from one block to another. In particular, do not copy text with merge fields from one block to another using "copy / paste". Do not copy text from Google Docs or Word, or other editors, with merge fields into an ONTRApages block. "Hidden" HTML or editor formatting codes will interfere with the rendering of the finished page. For example, hidden HTML can break merge fields and cause them to be rendered as plain text in your page.

    • Rename a Block: Click the pencil icon next to the name of the Block. Give the Block a descriptive name. Remember to click the check mark icon next to the name to save it!

    • Re-use your configured Blocks by clicking the + Add Block button and selecting Copy From Existing Form at the bottom of the block list. In the Copy From Existing Form dialog box select the ONTRApage and then the block you would like to copy to the current page.
